TPEC 2021
The 2021 Texas Power and Energy Conference was successfully held on February 2-5, 2021, virtually, amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.
This year, the conference brought together scholars and professionals from more than 19 countries to represent and discuss the lasted technological development and challenges in power and energy industry. All the papers presented are included in the conference proceedings published through IEEEXplore.
Conference directors, Arun Kumar Karngala and Jessica Wert, as well as other committee members from the Texas A&M IEEE PES-IAS-PELS student chapter organized this conference, under the guidance from faculty advisors, Dr. Thomas Overbye, Dr. Le Xie, Dr. Robert Balog and Dr. Katherine Davis.
The keynote speakers of TPEC 2021 were:
- Peter Sauer, Grainger Chair Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
- Valentine Emesih, VP of Operations Technology & Cybersecurity at CenterPoint Energy.
- Julie Cohn, Research Historian in the Center for Public History at the University of Houston.
